Let's begin by explaining how it works in the Early Years Foundation Stage!

The Foundation StageLadybird Class is divided into Reception (children aged 4-5 years old) and Nursery (children aged 3-4 years old). We have two Nursery classes, the first session is in the morning starting at 8.45am-11.45am, and the second session starting at 12.30pm-3.30pm. We have named our Nursery children the Ladybird class. The Ladybird staff are Miss Moscetano(Class Teacher) and Mrs Oliver/Mrs Wahid (Shared Teaching Assistant Role).

We have two Reception classes; Class 1 are the Busy BeesBusy Bee and Class 2 are the Butterflies. The Busy Bee staff are Miss Ronchetti (Class Teacher/Phase 1 Leader) and Mrs Irvine (Teaching Assistant).

The ButterflyBeautiful Butterflies staff are Miss Hill (Class Teacher) and Mrs Porteous (Teaching Assistant).

Consultation on Academy Status for Parents & Carers

Why is this happening? Why has the decision been made to become an academy? The current government has set out a clear expectation that all schools will become academies by the end of this current parliament.  Has the school not met satisfactory ofsted grading? Is Willowbrook failing/
