Dyslexia Friendly

We are currently working towards the Dyslexia Friendly kite-mark. With support from the British Dyslexia Association and the Learning Team at the local authority we have devised a comprehensive action plan that identifies what we need to do to become a Dyslexia friendly school. We have a working party that are helping to drive this project forward and lots of work has been completed already. These are the areas that the working group is looking at:

  1. Leadership and management
  2. The quality of learning
  3. Creating a climate for learning
  4. Partnerships with parents/carers/governors

Our working party is led by Mrs Collins, our SENCO and includes a range of people from the school community, including parents, teachers, governors, children and other school staff.
Look out for updates on the newsletter and there will be further information published here on our website.
