Hi, for those of you that do not know me, I am Hannah Sharpe (acting inclusion leader in the absence of Zoe Simpson).
It is my role to ensure that all ‘groups’ of children can access the national curriculum and meet their full academic potential. It is my aim to ensure that children who are experiencing difficulties are identified and those recognised as having Special Educational Needs and/or a disability (SEND) are given adequate support in order to overcome their personal barriers to learning. This may include providing children with additional resources in the academy or offering interventions with the aim of closing or bridging gaps in children’s learning. As a result, I work closely with outside agencies including: SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health Team), CLCI (Complex Learning, Communication and Interaction Team), Autism Support, Visual Impairment Team, Speech and Language and ADHD solutions who offer further support in each given area. I also work closely with health professionals, including the school nurse.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, please feel free to contact the school office on 0116 2413756- I am available most afternoons and I will endeavour to be in touch as soon as possible. Alternatively, pop in to the office and arrange an appointment.
